In order to enrich communication and engage users more dynamically, Meta-owned WhatsApp is rolling out a new feature that allows users to share “stickers” in channels.
According to WaBetaInfo, this feature is available to some beta testers, and it is rolling out to more people over the coming weeks.
With this feature, WhatsApp aimed to significantly enhance the channel content diversity. After installing the latest WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.24.19 update, which is available on the Google Play Store, the users will discover a feature to send stickers in channels.
It is now possible to send stickers in channels, although this is still limited to some beta testers. If you want to discover if this feature is available to your WhatsApp account, just update the app to the most available update on the Google Play Store and open the keyboard in your own channel.
In case the sticker tab is visible alongside the emoji keyboard, it means you can start sending stickers to your channel today. It’s worth noting that sending animated stickers to your channels is also supported, adding an extra layer of dynamism.
Introducing a feature to send stickers in channels would allow channel owners to better express their thoughts in a more vivid way than traditional text.
Stickers add a new dimension to communication and diversify the content within a channel, attracting and retaining user engagement through reactions.
