Water conservation is crucial for the country’s economic sustainability, according to the Recharge Pakistan Program.

The crucial “Recharge Pakistan Programme” water conservation policy initiative will be unveiled by the federal government today.

During a high-level meeting, the PM’s coordinator, Romina Khurshid, said that an NGO will carry out the program in partnership with the Ministry of Climate Change and Environmental Coordination, provincial governments, and other relevant parties.

According to her, the effort intends to increase Pakistan’s climate resilience by conserving excess flood water and using it to fulfill the country’s expanding needs for water in the domestic, industrial, and agricultural sectors. It also uses ecosystem-based adaptation for integrated flood risk management.

According to Romina Khurshid Alam, conserving water is now essential to Pakistan’s economic viability and is required for the country’s existence and success.

She referred to the program as a vital intervention that would use affordable ecosystem-based adaptation strategies to assist increase the nation’s water security and climate resilience simultaneously.
