Warrants for arrest served to workers who avoided their 2024 election duties

According to specifics, Returning Officer (RO) Muhammad Hayyat of PS-110-Karachi, South, issued arrest warrants for 267 workers, including women, due to their persistent absenteeism from their election-related responsibilities.

Police are instructed to apprehend and report any employees who fail to report for work on Friday due to election-related absences.

In a press release following the meeting on February 1, Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Sikandar Sultan Raja warned that anybody attempting to disrupt the peace in order to impede the polls would face severe consequences.
