The Met Office reports that throughout the forecast period, rain, wind, and thundershowers are anticipated in North Eastern Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Upper Punjab, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir.
During that time, there’s a chance of isolated heavy rainfall in Northeast Punjab, Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and the Potohar Region.
Upper and central areas of the country are being affected by monsoon currents originating in the Arabian Sea, according to the Met Office. Over the upper portions, there is also a westerly wave present.
In local nullahs and streams across the nation, torrential rainfall may cause flash flooding.
In major cities, low-lying areas may experience urban flooding during this season due to heavy rainfall.
During the rainy season, landslides may result in road closures in the valleys of Kashmir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Murree, and other mountainous regions.
