In accordance with the directives issued by the Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz, the Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) in Lahore has been conducting the operation of water drainage without interruption since last night in order to prevent floods in its metropolitan areas.

Rainfall is expected across the province, and officials from WASA are on high alert as a result.

In the wake of the rain, numerous places, including Shah Jamal, Laxmi Chowk, GPO, Nabha Road, and others, have been cleared, according to Ghufran Ahmed, the Managing Director of the WASA.

Efforts are being made by the WASA Administration to make sure that water drainage in the city is maintained and to prevent floods in urban areas.
