The suspects were reportedly being stopped at the toll booth while driving on GT Road from Rawalpindi to Lahore.

When they were stopped, the suspects opened fire on the ANF team, killing three members: Mazhar, Zeeshan, and Head Constable Gulzar.

Out of the suspects, two escaped and took refuge in the surrounding hills, according to the police.

A search operation is in progress to capture the evading suspects, according to police, and the suspects’ vehicle has been brought to the Dina Police Station for additional investigation.

The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) conducted seven operations around Pakistan, recovering over 391 kg of drugs and apprehending eighteen suspects. This is an important point to note.

According to an ANF spokesman, four individuals apprehended during two operations in the vicinity of Lakpas Toll Plaza Mustang had 195.6 kg of hashish found in their hands.

Five suspects—including a lady who had been detained in two raids at Sangjani Toll Plaza Islamabad—were found to have seven0.8 kg of hashish and 57.6 kg of opium during the operation.

Four drug smugglers caught in Hyderabad were found to have 34 kg of hashish in their possession, while two suspects detained in G-15 Islamabad were found to have 18 kg of hashish.
