Following the Saudi Airlines aircraft’s runway fire during landing, all airport flights have been grounded for a full twenty-four hours.
The aircraft’s position on the airport taxiway caused the airport to close for a full day after the event.
The runway will stay blocked until 11 a.m. tomorrow (Friday), per a Notice to Airmen (Notam).
It added that all aircraft headed for the Peshawar airport would be rerouted to other locations.
There have been allegations that the Saudi Airlines airliner experienced a fire in its landing gear earlier today.
The inflatable slide allowed all 276 passengers and 21 crew members to safely exit the aeroplane. Travelling from Peshawar to Riyadh was the flight route.
