Rain was reported from Gulberg, Cantt, according to details. Some of the city’s neighborhoods are Gulshan Ravi, Lakshmi Chowk, Faisal Town, Garden Town, Allama Iqbal Town, and Johar Town.

For the next 24 hours, further rain is expected in the city, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD). The city may see some afternoon sunshine again, according to the weather report, but by evening, clouds might retake the sky.

On the other hand, rain also resulted in power outages in several areas of Lahore, as multiple feeders owned by the Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) blew out, leaving neighborhoods in complete darkness.

The city’s air quality index (AQI), which was 37 and put it in the 70th position globally, was also enhanced by the rain.

In contrast, Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Director General (DG) Irfan Ali Kathia ordered the deputy commissioners of every district in the province, along with the relevant departments, to maintain a high alert between April 23 and April 29 due to the possibility of hailstorms in some areas of Punjab and thunderstorms in others.

The Punjab District Medical Administrator (PDMA) stated that all employees of District Emergency Operation Centers, including those employed in the Control Room of the province, had been advised to stay ready for any eventuality.
