At the Prime Minister’s Gem Stones Steering Committee meeting in Islamabad, Federal Minister and Chairman Abdul Aleem Khan served as the chairperson.
The linkage of Gemstones to the Ministry of Industry was also decided upon during the meeting, taking into account the Sub-Committee’s recommendations.
Aleem Khan stated that in order to go forward with collaboration and coordinated efforts, the public and private sectors would make quicker, more deliberate decisions that will lead to expansion and advancement.
