Robotic surgery will soon be available at Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences.
In a statement, the Ministry of National Health Services said that it has approved PC-1, a project worth Rs. 1465 million, to begin robotic surgery at PIMS Hospital, marking a significant advancement in the area of surgery.
Modern technical facilities will be provided for surgeons, according to a statement by Dr. Mukhtar Ahmad Bharath, the Prime Minister’s Coordinator on Health.
According to Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed, the PC-1 will update current surgical services and incorporate robotic surgery, and all required measures will be made to ensure that surgeons receive advanced training.
According to him, industrialised nations would have options for employment and training for a workforce skilled in robotic surgery.
