The deceased thespian was interred at the DHA Cemetery following his demise on Sunday.

A multitude of individuals, encompassing actors, politicians, and societal icons, attended the funeral of Talat Hussain. Former President Arif Alvi, Mayor Karachi Murtaza Wahab, and actors and relatives of the dead attended the event to express their condolences.

Talat Hussain, born in 1945 in Delhi, India, commenced his acting profession in 1967 with Pakistan Television. He subsequently gained widespread recognition in Pakistan’s entertainment sector, renowned for his memorable performances in numerous television dramas and movies.

Talat Hussain was a renowned personality in Pakistan’s entertainment business, noted for his extraordinary acting prowess and eloquent dialogue delivery. He had a lengthy and distinguished career in television, film, and theater and received the Sitara-e-Imtiaz for his contributions to the arts.

Talat Hussain had a distinguished career that lasted for more than five decades, starting in the 1960s. In order to enhance his skills, he traveled to England in 1972 to undertake acting lessons at the esteemed London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA). He is renowned for his outstanding works in legendary dramas such as Bandish, Karwaan, Hawain, and Parchaiyan, as well as films like Chiragh Jalta Raha, Gumnaam, and Actor in Law.

Hussain’s talent also encompassed foreign endeavors, such as films and television series. In 2006, he received the prestigious Amanda Award, also known as the Scandinavian Oscar, for his performance in the Norwegian film Import-Eksport. In addition, he received the Pride of Performance medal in recognition of his exceptional contributions to the arts.

GHQ Attack Case: Prosecution Seeks Bail Cancellation of CM KP & Other Accused, Indicts 9 More

25 defendants, including PTI officials, have non-bailable arrest warrants issued by the Anti Terrorism Court of Rawalpindi for their failure to show up for court proceedings related to the GHQ attack case.

Judge Amjad Ali Shah added nine more suspects to the GHQ attack indictment list during today’s ATC Court sessions, bringing the total to 98.

Among the 61 defendants who appeared in court were Shah Mehmud Qureshi and the founder of the PTI.

Among those charged are Khadim Hussain Khokhar, Mehr Mohammad Javed, Chaudhary Asif, Zakir Ullah, Azeem Ullah, Shireen Mazatri, Major Retired Tahir Sadiq, and former MPA Rashid Hafeez.

A plea to cancel the bail of 23 suspects, including Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has also been filed by the prosecution side.

In the GHQ attack, there were 119 accused in total.
