Tajir Dost scheme: FBR provides the most recent registration information

To tax retailers in Pakistan, the Tajir Dost app was released. The aim of the government is to include 3.5 million shops in the tax net with the app.

53,426 traders have registered for the Tajir Dost tax scheme thus far, according to FBR spokeswoman Bakhtiar Muhammad in an exclusive interview with ARY News.

Breakup shows that 2,816 traders registered from Quetta, 19,955 from Lahore, 14.822 from Islamabad, over 8,000 from Rawalpindi, 4,531 from Peshawar, and 7,312 from Karachi.

The representative went on to state that FBR is collaborating with the traders body on the registration program.

Abbottabad, Attock, Bahawalnagar, Bahawalpur, Chakwal, Dera Ismail Khan, Faisalabad, Ghotki, Gujarat, Gwadar, Hafizabad, Haripur, Hyderabad, Islamabad, Jhang, Jhelum, Karachi, Kasur, Khushab, Lahore, Larkana, Lasbela, Lodhran, Mandi Bahauddin, Mansehra, Mardan, Mirpurkhas, Multan, Nankana, Narowal, Peshawar, Quetta, Rahim Yar Khan, Rawalpindi, Sahiwal, Sargodha, Sheikhupura, Sialkot, Sukkur, and Toba Tek Singh are currently included in the scheme.

A notification describing the new Tajir Dost Special Services Rules 2024 has been issued by the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR). Improving trader registration and compliance is the goal of these regulations.
