After divorcing cricketer Shoaib Malik many months ago, Indian tennis player Sania Mirza is amenable to dating again.
Sania Mirza appears ready to give her love life another go, as she stated in her most recent TV interview, months after declaring her divorce from Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik.
In the newly released teaser for the upcoming episode of “The Great Indian Kapil Show” on Netflix, which stars Mirza alongside fellow Indian female athletes Saina Nehwal and Mary Kom, the former admitted that she is searching for a “love interest.”
Mirza replied, “Abhi mujhe pehle love interest dhundna hai (I have to find a love interest first),” in response to the host reminding her that Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan had previously stated that he would want to play the tennis star’s love interest if a biopic about her life was ever made.
It’s important to remember that Mirza was married to Malik from 2010 until her father, Imran Mirza, announced in January of this year that his daughter had filed for divorce from her ex-husband through Khula (a Muslim woman’s right to file for divorce from her husband). This was following Malik’s announcement of his third marriage to actor Sana Javed.
Mirza and Malik have a five-year-old son named Izhaan.
