Pakistan will hold its inaugural Council of Heads of Government meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in Islamabad, with the participation of India’s foreign minister. This signifies the inaugural visit by a high-ranking Indian official to the nation in almost ten years.
This is the inaugural occasion of Pakistan hosting the SCO summit, as well as the first visit by an Indian foreign minister to Pakistan in nearly a decade.
In 2023, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari participated in the SCO Foreign Ministers’ Summit held in Goa.
