All the educational institutes across Pakistan will remain closed for eight days due to the upcoming general elections which are set to take place on February 8, Daily Jang reported on Monday citing sources.
According to the sources, the educational institutes including schools and colleges will be already closed on February 4 and 5 due to Sunday and Kashmir Day.
Meanwhile, the institutes will remain closed from February 6 (Tuesday) to February 11 (Sunday) because of the general elections.
The classes will resume from February 12 (Monday) across the country.
Pakistan will hold its 12th general elections on February 8 next month with nearly 18,000 candidates from political parties competing for general seats in the National and provincial legislatures.
In this regard, Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar also formed a high-level committee to oversee security for the polls.
