The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has revealed the specific information regarding the monthly remuneration of the players in the national cricket squad.
As to media sources, players in category A are eligible for a monthly compensation of Rs4.5 million, and category B players receive Rs3 million per month. The recent contracts issued by the PCB experienced a substantial rise in compensation across all categories.
Category A gamers witnessed a stunning surge of 202%, and category B players encountered a large increase of 144%. Category C players experienced a significant increase of 135%, while Category D players saw a substantial increase of 127%.
The classification of players is determined by their performance, and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced new contracts in September of the previous year.
Babar Azam, Shaheen Afridi, and Muhammad Rizwan were classified in category A, with each individual getting a monthly remuneration of Rs4.5 million. Category B include players such as Shadab Khan, Fakhar Zaman, Haris Rauf, and Naseem Shah, who receive a monthly salary of up to Rs3 million.
Players in categories C and D receive a monthly compensation ranging from Rs750,000 to Rs1.5 million. Imad Wasim is classified as type C, whilst Iftikhar Ahmed, Hasan Ali, and Saim Ayub are categorized as category D.
It is important to mention that, apart from their monthly salary, players also get predetermined match fees and awards for matches played in the three different forms. These supplementary incentives enhance the total pay of national team players.
