According to information provided to the court by Omar Ayub’s attorney, the PTI leader is the subject of four cases in Lahore, two in Islamabad, thirteen in Rawalpindi, three in Attock, and one in Gujranwala.
When Chief Justice PHC stated that there were 23 cases, the attorney retorted that there had been 24 pleas filed with the court.
Khan is a contender for the position of prime minister; the petition informed the court, and it begged that one month’s release be granted.
The PTI leader was then given a month’s protected bail by Chief Justice Ibrahim Khan, who also declared that he would not be arrested after the bail was granted.
It is important to note that Omar Ayub Khan, the secretary general of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), was suggested by the party’s founder as a candidate for prime minister (PM).
After visiting the imprisoned founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Asad Qaiser spoke to reporters outside of Adiala Jail and announced that Omar Ayub Khan will be the party’s nominee for prime minister.
With 192,948 votes, independent candidate Omar Ayub Khan, supported by the PTI, was victorious in the National Assembly constituency NA-18, Haripur.
In the unofficial results released by the Returning Officer/ECP, Babar Nawaz Khan, the candidate for the Pakistan Muslim League (N), came in second with 112,389 votes. Voter turnout stayed at 49.88%.
