Prices Of Essential Items Drop As The Inflation Rate Reachs A 4-Year Low, Declining To 6.9%

The government led by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has implemented sensible economic measures, which have caused the country’s inflation rate to drop to 6.9 percent, the lowest level in the previous four years.

The Pakistan Bureau of Statistics reports that the rate of inflation was 9.6% in August of this year, and it was 6.93 percent last month.

Inflation decreased by 0.5 percent on a monthly basis. It was noted that sixteen food items—including tomato, vegetable, flour, legumes, cooking oil, chicken, and bread products—had their prices reduced.
