Dr. Arif Alvi further “expressed” concerns about the “tone and allegations” in the caretaker summary that PM Anwaarul Kakar submitted in a statement released by the President House.

The president declared, “The caretaker prime minister’s tone is deplorable.”

In accordance with Article 41 of the 1973 Constitution, Dr. Arif Alvi stated that he is the head of state. He also mentioned that he waited 21 days to call the NA session in order to settle the dispute over the distribution of reserved seats.

He declared, “Within 21 days, the reserve seats should be allotted under Article 51.”

In the meanwhile, the first two days of the National Assembly’s calendar has been made public.

According to the agenda, the session scheduled to begin at 10 am will see the oath-taking of newly elected members. On election day, nomination papers for Speaker and Deputy Speaker may be picked up starting at midday.

On March 1, there will be elections for speaker and deputy speaker.

Speaker of the National Assembly Raja Pervaiz Ashraf called the lower chamber of Parliament’s first session on February 29 after President Arif Alvi declined to call it due to an “incomplete house.”

The president stated that he could not call the session as requested since the lower house was not complete, in response to a report provided by the Parliamentary Affairs Division last week.

According to sources, President Alvi intended to postpone the meeting until the Election Commission of Pakistan released a notification on the Sunni Ittehad Council’s (SIC) reserved seats, which were joined by MPs backed by the PTI.
