Although Pakistan is fully prepared to safeguard its citizens against terrorism, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has decried the terror acts in Pakistan that involve Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan utilising Afghan soil, calling them “unacceptable” and expressing a wish for a peaceful resolution.

Shehbaz Sharif brought up the increase in terror occurrences, especially in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, during the Federal Cabinet meeting. These incidents have resulted in the deaths of army, police, and civilian armed forces members.

Despite obstacles, the Coalition Government reached a staff level agreement with the IMF and announced a three-month relief package for 96% of domestic power consumers. He called the current wave of terrorism a plot against Pakistan.

The Prime Minister emphasised that Afghanistan played a significant role in the recent increase in terrorism and stated that the government is in contact with them, as Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif has also visited the country.

According to Shehbaz Sharif, Pakistan is prepared for any eventuality because its brave military has given their lives in defence of the nation and its citizens.

Prime Minister Shehbaz also emphasised that the May 9 rioters, who had previously attacked Parliament, PTV, and the PM House, had turned to new strategies to defame the nation and its armed forces. One such campaign was the malicious campaign launched against Army Chief General Asim Munir via the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s official website.

We will not put up with such actions against the nation, its defenceless citizens, or the armed forces, Shehbaz Sharif declared.

In order to safeguard the interests of the country, he also urged unity among all citizens.
