The province-wide deputy commissioners have been instructed to exercise caution by the PDMA due to the persistent rainfall in Rawalpindi, Murree, Attock, Jhelum, Sialkot, and Gujrat.

Because of the continuous rains, the PDMA DG has directed all concerned departments to be ready for any emergency that may develop. For a prompt reaction, all district emergency operation centers, as well as the provincial control room, are instructed to stay on high alert.

Furthermore, all emergency services, including Rescue 1122’s equipment and staff, have received a readiness notice from the PDMA. In addition to avoiding filthy and decaying houses, the PDMA advises residents to use caution and keep away from electric poles and hanging wires.

However, even with partially cloudy sky, Lahore is still experiencing extremely hot weather as sunlight filters through the clouds. Concerns for the city’s citizens are exacerbated by unexpected load shedding.

A ray of hope for relief from the heat has emerged with the Met Department’s projection of another round of monsoon showers beginning today. But the city remains oppressively hot until the rains come. In the city, the weather is likewise mostly humid.

A major problem that still affects many parts of Lahore is load shedding. Residents discomfited by the intense heat include residents of China Scheme, Sabzazar, Federal Colony, and Green Town, who report regular and unexpected power interruptions.
