The military leadership and government of Pakistan have mounted a major offensive against drug dealers.
Huge operations by Security Forces since September 2023 have resulted in the arrest of 1,725 drug traffickers and the confiscation of 1,047 metric tonnes of different substances.
Notable outcomes of the operation include 46.53 metric tonnes of hashish and 3.55 metric tonnes of heroin being seized.
Ninety-four.73 metric tonnes of various drugs, 8.95 metric tonnes of opium, and 3.71 metric tonnes of methamphetamine have also been taken by the authorities.
162 kilogrammes of drugs were seized in August alone, with the Northern regions accounting for 54.52 kilogrammes, Punjab for 93.39 kilogrammes, and Sindh for 2.9 kilogrammes.
Until the nation is completely free of drug-related problems, the security forces intend to keep up their efforts.
