Washington prioritizes assisting Pakistan in addressing its energy shortage, according to U.S. State Department Spokesperson Mathew Miller.
Speaking at a news briefing, he stated that the US and the Pakistani government are still in talks regarding energy security.
Miller restated the United States’ unequivocal condemnation of the horrific acts that killed civilians and security personnel in Pakistan, particularly the killing of twenty-three innocent citizens in Musakhail, Baluchistan.
He noted that the families and loved ones of those slain have our deepest sympathies, as the Pakistani people have suffered immensely at the hands of deadly extremist terrorists.
According to him, Washington will continue to support Pakistan in its fight against terrorism since the two countries have a mutual interest in thwarting threats to regional security.
