With its use of the hit song “Aa Tenu Moj Karavan, Aa Tenu Sair Karavan” by legendary Pakistani singer Arif Lohar to celebrate GOAT Lionel Messi’s 37th birthday earlier this week, it appears that FIFA, the International Federation of Association Football, couldn’t help but fall in love with Pakistani music.
“Messi’s magic”—a caption from the Federation—accomplished the edited video of some of his most memorable moments in his career, with Lohar’s song in the background. Messi, happy 37 years old.
Pakistani fans couldn’t contain their excitement about the feature, leaving hundreds of likes and comments on the post. The video has received more than 1.5 million views on the official page.
Somebody on social media stated, “Fifa is obsessed with Pakistani songs,” and someone else added, “We got messi edit on Pakistani song before gta6.”
One further comment referred to it as “The Pakistani Takeover.” Another user on Instagram wrote, “Wait what, this was not the collab I was expecting.”
Asking, “Bado badi on Ronaldo’s birthday,” was another modest request from a football enthusiast.
