OGRA lowers LNG costs while raising LPG prices.

Liquefied natural gas (LNG) prices would drop by 8.50 percent in August, the regulatory body said in a notification.

The announcement stated that Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) will now pay $13.39 per MMBTU for LNG, a reduction of $1.23 from the previous price per MMBTU.

Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGC) has also seen a decrease in the price of LNG, with the new price being $13.15 per MMBTU, after a $1.22 percent reduction.

Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) prices were raised by Rs2.27 per kilogram by OGRA in the meantime. At Rs 236.99 per kilogram, LPG is now more affordable.

Additionally, the cost of domestic cylinders of LPG has increased by Rs26.90, bringing the total cost per cylinder to Rs2796.56.
