The review request of the Punjab Government in the Mubarak Ahmed Sani Case has been allowed by the Supreme Court of Pakistan.

Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan delivered the ruling, which was written by Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Qazi Faez Isa.

According to the court’s ruling, which was based on Article 260 of the Pakistani Constitution, belief in the finality of Hazrat Muhammad’s prophethood (PBUH) is an essential component of Islam. No one may be considered a Muslim unless they have unwaveringly and fully accepted this.

The top court further noted that decisions made by the Federal Shariah Court and the Supreme Court of Pakistan concerning Ahmadiyyas cannot be overturned and that the fundamental right to religious freedom guaranteed by the constitution is subject to law and public order.
