The PTI-backed candidates in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly have obtained the necessary majority to establish the province’s government, marking the party’s third consecutive victory in that capacity. In a number of districts, including Chitral, Abbottabad, Swat, Charsadda, Swabi, Nowshera, Mohmand, Khyber, Mardan, and Bannu, they won handily in elections for national and provincial assembly seats.

He is a formidable contender to take the oath of office as the new KP CM as he is a seasoned politician.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Mr. Gandapur held the position of provincial revenue minister in the first Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) administration. He also held the position of minister for Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir affairs in the cabinet of former prime minister Imran Khan.
