The prime minister’s gem and stone steering committee has resolved to establish centers of excellence by bringing the necessary institutions up to speed.
The Committee has chosen to bring back its centers in Gilgit Baltistan and Azad Kashmir and include all industry stakeholders. The Committee is chaired by Federal Minister Abdul Aleem Khan.
Another meeting in this regard is scheduled for Monday, and the corporate sector’s perspective will also be considered.
New technical developments in the field will be incorporated into the regional economy, according to Abdul Aleem Khan.
Participating in the meeting were federal ministers Ali Pervez Malik, Jam Kamal Khan, Rana Tanveer Hussain, and Musaddaq Malik.
