Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar has traveled to Jeddah in order to attend today’s emergency meeting of the OIC executive committee.
Palestinian and Iranian requests for the meeting’s agenda included discussing other regional concerns as well as Israel’s continuous assault against Palestine.
Supporting the Palestinian cause wholeheartedly, Pakistan has voiced concerns at international fora, such as the OIC.
Pakistan is gravely concerned about the dreadful situation in Gaza and the wider Middle East, and Senator Ishaq Dar will bring this up at the conference. His emphasis will be on how urgent it is to bring about peace and help the Gaza population.
Also, he will meet one-on-one with counterparts from other members of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
