A spokeswoman for the Islamabad Police stated in a statement that while everyone has the basic right to peaceful protest, any unlawful activity would not be tolerated.

He threatened to take legal action against anyone who used violence.

Numerous political parties made the decision to demonstrate against the purported electoral manipulation that took place recently.

It is important to note that while no candidate emerged victorious from Pakistan’s election last week with a clear majority, independent candidates supported by the country’s former prime minister in jail took home 92 of the 264 seats, making up the largest group.

Pakistan’s political future is uncertain as none of the main parties, the PPP, the PML-N, or the independent candidates supported by the PTI, were able to win a simple majority in the National Assembly during the general elections held on February 8.

To win 169 seats in the 336-member lower house of parliament, political players were forming coalitions.

Throughout the process of announcing the results, independent candidates supported by the PTI maintained their advantage over conventional political parties in the general elections of 2024, particularly in the National and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assemblies.
