India’s colonial agenda, according to Foreign Secretary Muhammad Syrus Sajjad Qazi, is still ongoing in unlawfully occupied Jammu and Kashmir, a violation of international law, the UN Charter, and Security Council resolutions.
Speaking at the high-level session of the 55th Session of the Human Rights Council in Geneva, he said that the biggest democracy in the world was using its excessive military presence and harsh regulations to carry out political and demographic engineering of the occupied region.
He claimed that institutionalised violence, abuse, and prejudice against women and children in Kashmir are multilayered.
In keeping with its responsibility to prevent, the ambassador urged that the High Commissioner’s Office issue a third report on Kashmir and keep an eye on the situation in IIOJK.
