The elections for the local government in the Islamabad Capital Territory have been postponed until further order by the Election Commission of Pakistan.
The Election Commission made this decision in light of recent revisions made by Parliament in the Islamabad Capital Territory Local Government Act, 2015 through the Islamabad Capital Territory Local Government (Amendment) Act, 2024 on the 30th of the previous month, as stated in a notification concerning the decision.
