In a power-sharing arrangement for ministries, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has once again invited former president Asif Zardari to join the government.
The action was a part of the PML-N’s larger plan to fortify its coalitions and consolidate its place in the government.
According to sources, the PML-N is assembling a committee that would assign ministries to its partners. The committee will put out great effort to guarantee that each coalition party is fairly represented in the government.
The group will also update the alliance party leadership during the decision-making process. In the midst of these changes, there are reports that the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) is also looking to join the administration.
There is talk of discussions between the JUI-F and the PML-N, which might lead to an extension of the coalition that governs. In spite of these attempts to form alliances, sources confirm that the PML-N plans to keep important ministries inside the coalition.
