FMs from Pakistan and Turkmenistan Agree To Increase High-Level Contacts And Cooperation

Both Turkmenistan and Pakistan have decided to increase high-level talks and exchanges at the leadership level, as well as their bilateral cooperation.

The agreement was made at the Foreign Office during discussions on a variety of bilateral areas of cooperation and regional and global issues of mutual concern between Minister for Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar.

Rasit Meredow, the foreign minister of Turkmenistan, had earlier arrived at the Foreign Office in Islamabad to hold discussions with Ishaq Dar, the deputy prime minister, regarding the third round of bilateral political consultations as well as regional and international developments.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar greeted the Turkmen Minister upon his arrival at the Foreign Office.

The two leaders will talk about regional and international issues while presiding over their respective delegations in the third round of bilateral political meetings.

The two leaders will meet to discuss ways to strengthen connections between Pakistan and Turkmenistan and to investigate potential areas of bilateral collaboration, with a particular emphasis on trade, investment, and energy cooperation, as well as regional connectivity and cultural links.
