Currently taking place in Moscow is the inaugural Pakistan-Russia Trade and Investment Forum.

A delegation of Pakistani businesses is in Moscow for the Business to Business Forum, under the leadership of Federal Minister of Privatization and Communications, Abdul Aleem Khan.

Over 70 Pakistani businessmen from various sectors make up the group, while over 100 Russian companies are taking part in the Trade and Investment Forum.

“Our current trade volume does not reflect the potential of two countries,” Privatization Minister Abdul Aleem Khan remarked in his speech to the Forum.

He stated that we want to increase investment and trade.
We have the most liberal trade and investment policies, and Pakistan is the fifth-largest country.

Considering that over 60 Pakistani businesspeople attended the forum with Aleem Khan, he expressed great optimism for the growth of bilateral trade between the two nations.

Adding that Pakistan and Russia have longstanding diplomatic and commercial ties, he added that today marks the beginning of new bilateral ties.

He stated that the Pakistani government places great significance on its connections with Russia.

Alexey Gruzdev, the deputy minister of trade and investment for Russia, welcomed the delegates from Pakistan and stated that the meeting will improve bilateral ties between the two nations.

He claimed that new channels for investment and trade between the two nations will be opened up by this forum.
Russia’s commercial potential with Pakistan will rise, according to Pakistan’s ambassador to Moscow, Muhammad Khalid Jamali. Both countries stand to gain from the commerce, he said. He remarked, “In 2022, we signed an agreement for road transport.”
