In order to address the drug problem, Pakistan has appealed for increased international cooperation.
Ambassador Usman Jadoon, the Deputy Permanent Representative of Pakistan to the UN, stated during a side event at the UN Headquarters in New York that Pakistan is pursuing a comprehensive program to combat the global drug problem.
According to him, as part of a comprehensive counter-narcotics strategy, Pakistan is developing a zero-tolerance policy to address the worldwide scourge of illicit substances.
