Expected Monsoon Rainfall Continues Until Tomorrow

Rain fell in several areas of the nation as the Met Office forecasted more heavy downpours with sporadic breaks in the top regions through tomorrow.

In Sindh, Balochistan, Northeast/South Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Potohar Region, Kashmir, and Gilgit Baltistan, additional rain, wind, and thundershowers are predicted during the forecast period, according to the Met Office.

East Balochistan and Upper/Central Sindh may also get heavy rainfall at this time.

The Upper Sindh region and its surroundings are experiencing low pressure at the lower tropospheric level, according to the Met Office.

Deep Arabian Sea monsoon currents are reaching the country’s east and south. Over the northwest, a westerly wave is also visible.

In local nullahs and streams across the nation, torrential rainfall may cause flash flooding.

In major cities, low-lying areas may experience urban flooding during this season due to heavy rainfall.

Road closures in the susceptible hilly regions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Murree, Galiyat, and Kashmir may occur during the rainy season due to landslides.
