The Second Amendment Bill, 2024, which was approved by the national assembly, would put an end to uncertainty and bring more clarity about reserved seats, according to Bilal Azhar Kayani, convener of the National Parliamentary Taskforce on Sustainable Development Goals.

Speaking to reporters outside the National Assembly in Islamabad, he said that although Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf was spared from prosecution, it was granted relief.

Bilal Azhar Kayani responded to a question by saying that the National Assembly had passed the measure today and that the government was appreciative of the legislators’ support for this important legislation.

In order for this bill to become law, the senate must also pass it, in his opinion.

All political factions will be supported by the bill’s passage, according to the National Parliamentary Taskforce convener.
