The specifics said that the Balochistan Assembly’s members will choose eleven senators: two women, seven general seats, and the same number of technocrats.
Candidates may put in their nomination papers to the Returning Officer (RO) on March 15 and 16, in accordance with the timetable that has been set.
On March 17, the preliminary list of candidates nominated will be released. By March 19, the Returning Officer would have finished reviewing the nomination materials.
Appeals against the acceptance or rejection of nomination papers may be filed by March 21 in accordance with the timetable. By March 25, 2024, the appellate panel will render a decision on appeals.
On March 26, the updated list of candidates will be released, and until March 27, applicants may withdraw. There will be voting on April 2 from 9 am to 4 pm in the Balochistan Assembly.
