Doctors stationed at Peshawar Airport to screen travellers due to monkeypox concerns

To screen for cases of monkeypox, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has sent seven physicians and eight technicians to Peshawar’s Bacha Khan International Airport.

As she reviewed the plans for testing for the monkeypox virus at the airport and the Police Services Hospital in Peshawar, Secretary of Health Khyber Pakhtunkhwa said this.

In order to slow the spread of the monkeypox virus, he said, the government is operationalising isolation wards at the district level.
