In an interview with reporters, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari stated that Imran Khan would still be prime minister today if he had continued to make the proper political choices till April 2022.

Imran Khan is still seen by the PPP chairman as someone who would rather interact with the establishment than with politics.

“We do not have a problem with the timeline, and I think they (constitutional amendments) will be passed by October 25,” stated Bilawal Bhutto Zardari in reference to the proposed constitutional amendments.

He stated that the PPP wishes to collaborate with all political parties, including the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) under the leadership of Maulana Fazlur Rehman.

According to Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, his party is in favor of equal rights and judicial reforms for all provinces. “Reforms and constitutional courts were accepted by Maulana Fazlur Rehman. He continued, “The PPP and JUI-F rejected the government’s attempts to modify Articles 8 and 51 of the constitution.

According to Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the PTI also snubbed the committee that was established to reach a political consensus. The PPP chairman believed that proportional representation ought to be used when appointing judges.

Earlier, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari addressed the Balochistan High Court Bar Association and asked attorneys to accept the constitutional courts’ “mandate,” saying, “If you don’t accept the constitutional courts, you should leave the practice.”

He declared, “After the struggle of 30 years, we have decided to form a constitutional court,” clarifying that he was not fighting for the present chief justice, Qazi Faez Isa, in the constitutional amendment fight. “Your agenda may be unique to you, not mine,” he continued.

Pointing out that his party created Article 63(A) and knows its ramifications better than anybody else, the PPP leader made this point. He explained that the clause was not meant to enslave members of parliament, but rather to stop horse-trading.
