Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has chosen to discuss the Pashtun Jirga demands with the provincial assembly during an assembly session.
The chief minister conveyed his appreciation for the peaceful conclusion of the Pashtun Jirga and stated that the provincial government made every effort to offer the participants the best amenities in a short amount of time.
Gandapur reported that all political parties and tribe representatives had consulted on Pashtun issues. He also promised that, as KP’s chief minister, he would do everything in his power to see that the Jirga’s recommendations were carried out in accordance with the law and the constitution.
He stated that the demands that fell outside the province government’s jurisdiction would be brought up with the appropriate federal authorities. He further stated that it was the responsibility of the state and the government to ensure the satisfaction of the people by resolving their issues.
He promised that all of these topics will be thoroughly discussed in the Provincial Assembly, that all assembly members, regardless of their political affiliation, would be contacted, and that their recommendations would be taken into consideration for future actions.

Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has earlier stated that the primary duty and goal of his government has been the security of people and property.
KP CM Ali Amin Gandapur is hosting a large Jirga in Peshawar, which is being attended by leaders of several political parties, Governor Faisal Karim Kundi, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, and others.
“Regardless of our political affiliations, we have all gathered here for the sake of peace,” stated Ali Amin Gandapur.
The only agenda item on this jirga, according to Governor KP Faisal Karim Kundi, is peace in the province.
