As the Asian MMA Championship comes to an end, Team Pakistan wins two gold medals.

Bano extended her remarkable run in the competition after defeating Khushboo Nishad of India by knockout in the semi-final on Wednesday.

She defeated Gulnaz Abdrakhmanova of Kazakhstan in the senior women’s Atomweight division to secure the first gold medal for Team Pakistan.

Soon after, Team Pakistan won another gold medal when Eman Khan submitted Dinara Ayapova of Kazakhstan with a rear-neck choke in the opening round.

After Team Pakistan won the gold medal in the Asian MMA Championship, Eman declared, “I worked hard for more than three years for this event.”

Before expressing her hope to see Pakistan succeed in mixed martial arts (MMA) and other sports, Eman complimented her fellow countrywoman Bano Butt on accomplishing the same goal.

On technical considerations, Bushra Ahmed qualified directly for the final round; nevertheless, she lost to Adel Makhametova of Kazakhstan and had to settle for a silver medal.

Team Pakistan’s three fighters were defeated in the men’s division.

As he battled the competitor from Kyrgyzstan for three rounds without winning, Zeeshan Akbar gave Team Pakistan’s supporters a glimmer of hope for a third gold medal.

However, in the senior men’s Lightweight division, Shahab Ali was defeated by Neimat Assadov of Kazakhstan, and in the junior men’s Flyweight division, Abdul Manan was defeated.

Six medals in total—two gold and four silver—were won by Team Pakistan.

At the Asian MMA Championship, Team Kazakhstan and Team Tajikistan led the medal standings with seven gold medals apiece, followed by Team Bahrain with three, Team Pakistan with two, and Team Kyrgyzstan with two.

In addition to the Brave Combat Federation making its sixth consecutive visit to Pakistan, the Asian Championship of Mixed Martial Arts was hosted in Pakistan for the first time.
