In compliance with the instructions of the Pakistan Supreme Court, the Pakistan Army has begun the process of imposing field general court martial on former Lieutenant General Faiz Hameed following a thorough court of inquiry.
It was the purpose of the investigation to determine whether the charges against the accused, a three-star Army officer, in the top city case were accurate.
Therefore, in accordance with the Pakistan Army Act, Lt Gen Faiz Hameed (Retd) has been subject to appropriate disciplinary action, according to the Inter Services Public Relations.
There have also been numerous documented instances of post-retirement violations of the Pakistan Army Act. Initiating the field general court martial procedure, Lt Gen Faiz Hameed (Retd) has been placed under military prison.
