The Pakistani government and military leadership have begun taking tough measures against drug dealers in an effort to eradicate drug addiction from Pakistan.
The relevant agencies arrested 1612 drug dealers and seized 1043 metric tons of drugs from around the nation during the continuing operations that began in September 2023.
In all, 45.18 metric tons of hashish and 3.52 metric tons of heroin have been found around the nation since September.
In addition, 9.82 metric tons of other substances, 3.65 metric tons of meth, and 8.55 metric tons of opium have been taken by the security forces.
1094 kg of drugs were taken from Balochistan, 133 kg from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 5 kg from Gilgit-Baltistan, 2 kg from Punjab, and 73 kg from Sindh by security personnel between June 30 and July 7.
The relevant institutions are committed to carrying out their current initiatives until narcotics are eradicated from the nation.
