According to Federal Minister of Communications Abdul Aleem Khan, the National Highway Authority needs to become self-sufficient, and a comprehensive plan needs to be worked out for this.
The Federal Minister said that no new motorway will be built that was not at least six lanes and two lanes at a briefing provided by NHA officials.
He directed the National Highway Authority to fire dishonest and inept employees and turn over toll revenue collection to the private industry.
