The government has implemented efficient methods to boost pharmaceutical sector exports, according to Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed Bharath, the Prime Minister’s National Coordinator for Health.
Speaking at the 7th Summit Award of the Pharmaceutical Sector, Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed stated that the local pharmaceutical industry in Pakistan satisfies 90% of the country’s domestic demands.
He stated that the government has seen a significant rise in pharmaceutical exports and domestic production.
He stated that the development of the pharmaceutical industry is of great significance to the Prime Minister.
According to him, the Drug Regulatory Authority’s system has been digitalised, and the online Licensing Registration System is now operational.
Automation of the licensing and registration processes, according to Dr. Mukhtar, has made operations faster and more transparent.
The transfer of cutting-edge medicine manufacturing technology to the nation would also bring positive news, according to Dr. Mukhtar.
