US President-elect Donald Trump encouraged the legislature to scratch off Boeing’s new Air Force One plane in a Twitter post on Monday, saying it was excessively costly.
“Boeing is building a fresh out of the box new 747 Air Force One for future presidents, yet expenses are wild, more than $4 billion. Cross out request!” Trump tweeted.
The US Air Force granted Boeing an underlying contract worth $25.8 million.
Insights about the aggregate estimation of the new contract have not been discharged, but rather the Air Force has already said that it had reserved $1.65 billion for two substitution planes.
