Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue, has departed for Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, to attend the 29th session of the parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, or COP29.
The finance minister will be present at the cop29 conference for high-level seminars, events, and discussions. Additionally, he will attend programs hosted by the conference’s Pakistani pavilion. In the border markets, Aurangzeb will be present at a ceremony with the theme of local environmental action and insight fund. Along with launching the “national climate finance strategy” at the Pakistan pavilion, the finance minister will take part in a panel discussion on “climate responsive public investment” that the ministry of planning is organizing. On the topic of “Carec partnership for climate innovation and trade,” he will also take part in a high-level session.
