Three PIA flights to Karachi occupied because of haze

Three flights of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) booked to arrive in Karachi were redirected to different urban communities because of substantial haze on Friday morning, leaving relatives of travelers in a mess.

Flights PK-214 from Dubai to Karachi and PK-307 from Lahore to Karachi were redirected to Muscat while PK-732 from Jeddah to Karachi was occupied to Lahore, PIA representative Danyal Gilani said in an announcement.

“Because of substantial haze the perceivability was under 50 meters, henceforth the plane couldn’t arrive in Karachi,” he told Dawn.com independently.

He said the two flights were redirected to Muscat as perceivability at all airplane terminals close Karachi was poor. Presently with enhanced perceivability flight operation at Karachi has been reestablished.

The flight outline the plane following site FlightRadar24 demonstrates PK-307 originating from Lahore hovered over Karachi and after that continued to Muscat when it was rerouted.

After the haze cleared, the plane took off for Karachi from Muscat and arrived at 12:07pm.

“Presently with enhanced perceivability flight operation at Karachi has been reestablished,” the announcement said.
